Awards & Recognition
For the Michigan Basic Sills Series, skaters earn points based on their placement in the freestyle and/or compulsory events at the various competitions. At the end of the season, the skaters points are tallied and medals are awarded for the top three finishers.

We encourage all our skaters to consider the 2010 Michigan Basic Skills series & to join in on the fun and excitement. There are 17 competitions in the series, with the first one being held in Lansing on March 13th. Bowling Green is part of the series and we will be hosting our competition September 18th. The full schedule of competitions in the series can be found on the homepage.

Congratulations to Morgan Cheung !

Morgan Cheung with coach Aleksander Nagorny

On August 9 2009 Morgan Cheung of Ohio's Bowling Green FSC reached the summit of Figure Skating's test structure. Passing the Senior Freeskating test and the 15 tests that must precede it is a tremendously difficult task that requires years and years of dedicated work, and a great deal of skill. Only a small percentage of skaters can claim this great prize, and very few among the general public can claim any other accomplishment of comparable effort. Morgan also enjoys cross country and track.
