Marissa Rose Memorial Exhibition , May 11th, 3 P.M. at Tam-O’-Shanter

In memory of our fellow club skater Marissa Rose, BGSC is hosting 7th annual Marisa Rose Memorial Exhibition on May 11th, 3 P.M., at Tam-O’-Shanter.

Skaters interested in performing in the Marissa Rose Memorial Exhibition should send their name and music in MP3 format to Sasha at anagorny@gmail.com  (music should be 1 min. – 1:30 mins in length)

This exhibition is designed for skaters of all levels— beginners and beyond.

We hope to see you there!

Extravaganza Basket and Silent auction

Ice costs and operation costs for BGSC keep climbing.  In order to keep programming costs down, we need to continue to hold fundraisers.  We are going to try a low key fundraiser for Extravaganza.

Here is how it works.  Each group is assigned a theme.  Your skater in that group will donate an item that fits the theme.  One item per skater (but you are welcome to donate more).  The item does not have to be expensive.  Each item is usually under $10.  The idea is that if everyone in the group contributes to the basket it makes a beautiful basket to auction off.

Baskets
Annie – Hard Knock Life Skaters – Art Basket
Frozen Skaters – Summer Fun Basket
Singing in the Rain  Skaters – Gardening Basket
Solo and Duet Skaters in Elementary School  – Baking Basket
Solo and Duet Skaters in Middle & High School – Spa Pampering Basket

Due Date
Saturday April 5.   This way we can assemble the baskets and have them ready for Extravaganza.

Silent Auction
We will also have some items up for silent auction that didn’t fit into baskets.  The BGSC Board has been working behind the scenes soliciting donations from corporations and sponsors. If you have a silent auction item that would like to donate that doesn’t fit into a basket, let us know, we can use it.

If you would like to donate a basket as a family – let us know.
